The Way of the Shinobi

Episode 4: Yoki’s Past Divulged

The citizens of Konoha resumed their daily lives like usually after the fire was contained. Diep sent out a town notice that the fire was caused by a training gone awry. Those involved in the training were reprimanded and lectured. A few injuries occurred, but none were life-threatening. What the village didn’t know was that there was more to the fire than face value.

Back at the office Diep was up all night sifting through files and documents in the archives room in the basement. She finally found files related to the current case that dated back decades ago. Konoha has moved into a more technological advanced time, but the old archive files were kept for record. Reading through the various files, it hit her. It made sense why Yoki was a target.

This matter started a few decades ago…

Yoki was taken in at the age of 8 by a foster family who found her in the forest near Konoha’s borders. She was found in a state of shock and roughed up. It was under investigation for a while about her origins, but with not many clues, the investigation was halted. The shinobi that found her took her in all the same. At first, Yoki was unresponsive to her adoptive family, but slowly over the course of the next year she began to open up to them, talking and interacting with them. It was about 4 years later, her adoptive family was KIA (killed in action). They were on a A-ranked mission and unfortunately did not return from it. So at the age of 12 she was put under the remote care of an orphanage. When she turned 16, she received permission to work and live on her own.

Shuffling through older newspapers around the the same year, Diep was able to find a few more clues that were overlooked. There was a similar incident at a village many km away where a large fire broke out just before noon, but little damage resulted. What caught her eye was that a  week long storm just passed through the region before the fire broke out. It reminder her of the day before when Konoha had a storm, and how Mieko’s monkey stole the Hokage’s planner. Putting that aggravating thought aside, Diep continued her search. The source of the fire was never discovered but documented photos were taken around what they thought was the source of the fire. It was just puddles of water in the forest most likely from the storm.

Diep was on the brink on insanity. She was combing through the same files for the next 4 hours and nothing stood out. Just as Diep was about to close the files, a glimmer on the photo struck her attention. She didn’t notice this earlier, but the glimmer was a shine from something reflective, not due to the sun in the photo. She scanned the photo into her desktop and used a program to enlarge and fix the photo. As the program cranked out the resolution, it was clear that what was in the photo was a shard. A similar shard that Konan’s paper scouts found. Diep produced the shard encased in a petridish from her pocket. It was the same! Now to figure out what connected this to Yoki. She sent the shard to the lab for testing. Diep wanted to find out what this shard was.

This new discovery sent Diep on another research frenzy. She gave strict orders to not let anyone bother her unless it was an emergency. She ran back and forth from the library and the archives room, to the Hokage’s office. The lab report was sent back and it was concluded that the shard is made up of small traces of chakra. It was a part of a ninjutsu. Within a few more hours, she uncovered older files about techniques that had any remote connections to a glass technique. Another hour passed as she started to throw her stress ball at the window. Thunk. Thunk. Thunk… the last throw was a bit hard and a piece of the window cracked. A small shard fell to the ground. As she went to retrieve the stress ball, she thought of how she had to call someone to fix the window before the Hokage came back and saw the shard…shard. Glass…shard?

Aha! She got it. She ran back to her desk and scrambled to find the lab report.

Lab Results
Requested by: Diep
Priority: 1st order
Performed by: ---
Trials: 5

Physical properties: crystallized water, transparent, clear, sharp, reflective, intricate matrix under microscopy, shard size of 1.54 cm.

Composition: small traces of chakra were found within the shard (< 10 CU)
The amount of CU is infinitely smaller than the a usual chakra infused item (> 50 CU)
*CU is chakra units.

Comments: The small traces of chakra reveal that the shard is part of a jutsu. Five trials were done until this small amount could be seen. It cannot be deducted which jutsu this shard belongs to.

The shards made up a mirror. More specifically, it was a ninjutsu where the user created a reflective mirror. If placed at certain angles, the mirror can be made to reflect something not even present. Thus, a real fire could be made elsewhere, and reflected throughout the forest to make it seem like there was a large fire. The shards were made using some type of ice jutsu so just when the sun is out at noon, the mirrors would melt. Anyone who would walk into the forest after wouldn’t see the mirrors and wouldn’t question the puddles of water due to a storm. Unfortunately for them, there were residue shards that did not melt. So now the question is, what’s the connection with Yoki?

Diep sat in the Hokage’s chair spinning around. She mentally ran through the information she read over the past few hours again. She pulled up Yoki’s therapy session records again. Scrolled through the comments made and found another clue. Yoki’s mother. Whenever the therapist mentions her mother, Yoki freezes, but it was during the very first time Yoki arrived in Konoha that her conversation with the investigator was recorded. She mentions her mother and bits and pieces of a dark cave, scary skeleton monsters, long metal snakes, and a forest. This was written off as a child’s vivid imagination, but Diep took it into consideration. What if she was describing a place?

Diep rolled the chair over the her desktop. She pulled up a map of the surrounding regions, and then a comprehensive list of all documented shinobi and the techniques each uses. Of course she obtained these through a backhanded manner. You’re not allowed to go through confidential material unless you have the access code for it. The ones in charge of this information should really change their online security. Making a mental note of this, she continued her search. She narrowed the list down to water, glass, ice, and material making jutsus. There were many throughout the world, but a majority comes from Takigakure, the Village Hidden by a Waterfall. Of course they would have the most water element using shinobis. After cross checking the shinobis that could use a mirror like ninjutsu, she hit a dead end. They were either on missions, or placed elsewhere that could not put them at a scene near Konoha. She closed the program and the world map came up again.

Mountains’ Graveyard

It was an region between Takigakure, the Village Hidden by a Waterfall and Otogakure, the Village Hidden by Sound. It was a thick forest filled with the bones of ancient giant creatures. “scary skeleton monsters” Maybe, just maybe. Diep pulled up any information pertaining to the area. It was seen that Tobi of the Akatsuki appeared a few times in the region. Not much surfaced after that.

Going off of very scattered information, Diep decided to send Yoki away with a fellow shinobi she trusts. It was better to have Yoki traveling around than to be stationary in Konoha. If she has ties with something deeper, then they’ll surely come back for her. Diep sent a messenger bird to Sora-san to call her back immediately. She was an old ANBU friend of Diep’s that always traveled, and never settled down. It was decided that once Yoki woke up, she would travel with Sora-san and grow under her guidance.

Yoki’s background: Within her family, she had an older sister name Rin. Rin was the favored child who excelled in her studies. An accident took her away at the age of 15 and her family was broken afterwards. Yoki was only 5 at the time and very close to her father. He was the one that encouraged her the most in the family to try her best. Shortly after, her father also passed away. Yoki’s mother started to go delusional and project Rin’s image in Yoki. Her mother was convinced that she only had one daughter, Rin. Thus, Yoki lived in the shadow of her sister. Although Yoki tried hard to please her mother, it was apparent that Rin and Yoki were different in personality and skills. It arrived to the point where her mother would pretend to be the ideal mother in public, but when the front door was shut, she would ignore Yoki. Her mother couldn’t take it anymore and snapped one day. She took Yoki out under the pretense that they were going on a trip. After travelling for days, they arrived at Mountains’ Graveyard. Her mother told Yoki to sit underneath a tree while she went to get water for their picnic. Hours pass and Yoki grew restless. She wondered why her mother hasn’t returned, but knew she shouldn’t move. Night fell and Yoki came the the thought that her mother abandoned her. She started to sob and the sky grew darker and the moon rose.

Her cries grew louder and the forest seemed to swallow up this small girl. A figure in a dark cloak past by. “Little girl, why are you in this forest and crying so loudly? Do you want to wake up the bones of the ancient creatures?” Yoki stopped her crying, but was still sniffling. As she wiped her tears, she as able to mumble out that her mom left her here. The cloaked figure calmed Yoki and decided to take her in. With not much of a choice, Yoki followed him.

Over the next few years Yoki trained under Obito, at the time named Tobi. He had plans to use her in an experiment that would further his goals. After 3 years passed by, results were not seen. Tobi decided that it was time to cut ties with Yoki since she couldn’t produce results. In order to keep his activities a secret, she had to go. The night Yoki was to be disposed of, she woke up kicking and screaming. Yoki eventually clawed her way out of her temporary home and ran away as quick as she could. The days leading up to the moment, she grew suspicious knowing that her master had given up teaching her. She ran far and as long as her legs could carry her at the age of 8. Eventually, she stopped from exhaustion and laid against a tree near the border of Konoha. A few days after, the shinobi from Konoha and her future adoptive parents found her on their way back from a mission.

Yoki gained conscious at the hospital and word was sent to the Hokage’s office. She has locked this part of her memory away and cannot recall it. Her body shuts down to prevent the recollection of her past.
Diep went to visit her and told Yoki that she will begin her new journey traveling with Sora-san. Yoki was a bit hesitant at first, but decided that in order to become a better shinobi, she would go on this new journey.

General RP Guidelines

A[忍]F holds role play events every now and then on kik.
Be prepared for them by knowing the do’s and don’ts.

There’s a few rules you should be aware of before starting a role play. Depending on the admin hosting the event, there can be an Official Role Play, an Unofficial Role Play, and a Battle Style Role Play. Each are different in style, but the following guidelines apply to all of them.

An admin will usually announce in advance when the next role play will take place, as well as the time. The duration of the role play ranges from half an hour to a few hours. It all depends on the hosting admin and what they decide on.

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Here’s a break down of the different types of role plays:

Official Role Play – Each role play session becomes an episode or OVA. The hosting admin will write a recap of the session. The scenarios and problems that arise can be simple or complex and may take more than one session to resolve.

Unofficial Role Play – The role play session will not have a recap. The general mood and tone of Unofficial Role Plays tend to be light-hearted and fun.

* Battle Role Play – Role play style is meant to bring more action packed episodes and OVAs.  Those who face off in battle will be determined beforehand by the hosting admin. Those who participate in the Battle Role Play are separated into battle members and spectators. A recap will be provided by the hosting admin.

Battle RP is a style still under development. More about the style is explained on this post here.

When you join ASF and if you’re able to get kik, an admin will invite you to the group chats. Role play events take place in the group chat title RP • Allied Shinobi Forces.

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

There needs to be at least 5 people participating in the role play for the event to start. If there are not enough people, the hosting admin may postpone the role play. Typically the hosting admin will set the scene just before the event begins. Once the scene is set, the role play can start anytime after.

Note that before you type anything, you need to state your name. This is done so others can tell who is speaking.

Any actions are placed between asterisks.
Example: *I reached for a bowl of ramen, but sadly it disappeared in a puff of smoke.*

Side conversations should be limited in the role play chat, but if you need to, all side conversations are placed between double parenthesis.
Example: ((What’s going on now?))
((The bowl of ramen was just a daydream.))

There are times when people arrive later into the role play. If you are one of those who do, just jump into the conversation and say ((PAUSE)). At this point, everyone in the role play should pause and inform the newly joined member of the current plot. Once everything is cleared, the hosting admin will say ((UNPAUSE)) to officially continue the role play.

If you have any questions or need clarification, don’t hesitate to contact any of the admins!
It might seem overwhelming at first, but once you get into the groove of it, role playing is a great creative and bonding experience.

Episode 3: Who’s Paying for Dinner/Yoki’s Arc

Our episode begins in the Hokage’s office, but Naruto wasn’t in the office today. He went on a trip for official business with Gaara. His advisor Diep was left with the never-ending pile of paperwork. Just as she was about to toss the papers in frustration, Yoki popped by the office. She came by for a visit and wondered if Diep ever got tired of doing paperwork. As a break, they went into the town and made rounds greeting those in Konoha.

Meanwhile, Riku wakes up in Naruto’s house still bumming around his place. Kushina prepared breakfast at Naruto’s house and calls for Himawari to get her brother for lunch. Kushina and Minato were watching over the kids while Naruto was away for official business and Hinata on a mission. Himawari runs throughout the house upstairs to find her brother but runs into Naruto’s room instead. To her surprise, she found Riku instead of her brother. Himawari told Riku lunch was ready and realizing she went into the wrong room, she went to her brother’s room and called for him to come downstairs for lunch. After a delicious lunch, Kushina had to head to the market to do some grocery shopping. She asked if her grandchildren wanted to come as well. Himawari gladly wanted to follow while Boruto decided to go out and hang with Shikadai and Inojin. Riku decides to tag along with Kushina to buy ingredients to finish his chocolates.

On Diep and Yoki’s way around town, they came across Yui training in the distance. At the same time, it seems that Atsuko was tailing Yoki for some reason.  Diep and Yoki were about to greet Yui, but at that moment Yoki became aware of Atsuko’s presence. Asking Diep if she thought something was off, they took their eyes off of Yui to discuss the follower, but deemed that they had no ill intentions so they left it be. Turning back, Yui disappeared. She realized Diep and Yoki were there and being a bit shy, she hid in the treetops hoping they would pass by.  At this point Yoki parted with Diep saying she would do a bit of training. Yoki ran into the forest trying to lure her pursuer to follow her. Diep shrugged and continued her rounds towards the market place. Tsuki appeared next to Yui asking why she was hiding. The two ended up training together once everyone left.

As Kushina, Himawari, and Riku walk down the streets of Konoha, they run into Diep on their way to the market. Friendly greetings were exchanged and it was made known that Riku was making chocolates again for a special someone. Who could it be?!  After some time, they went on their own way to finish shopping for ingredients. Diep started to head off towards the forest where she parted with Yoki to look for her.

Arriving at the forest edge, Atsuko is clawing at the ground frantically trying to escape something. She calls for Diep to help her and Yoki. Apparently, they ran into some trouble shortly after Yoki left Diep. They were stuck under a Shadow Sewing Technique. Diep ran to find the source of the ninjutsu, but before she could reach them, they vanished. Some suspicion arose, but Diep decided to not alarm the two. The three headed back towards town to shake off the event that just occurred.

On the way back, Diep proposes a friendly competition: those who lose will have to buy dinner for everyone at Ichiraku’s. Yoki and Atsuko agreed thinking this will be fun. As they pass through the town, they met Kushina, Himawari, and Riku again outside of Ichiraku’s. Diep explained the wager they had going and the three decided to join in the competition. Everyone drew sticks to pair up and determine the order of the battles.  Atsuko and Yoki were first, then Kushina and Riku. Diep and Himawari were going to sit and officiate the battles. The group headed on over to an open in to limit the destruction that most likely would occur.

An intense battle began as Atsuko and Yoki hashed it out. Many attacks were thrown and the battle ended with a slight draw. It was determined that Yoki won on the account that she was able to land more hits on her opponent. The next battle was between Riku and Kushina. Riku dragged his feet around, unenthusiastic to fight against Kushina. On the other hand, Kushina was fired up for a nice battle. Many cheers were encouraging for this battle to start. Yui and Tsuki arrived hearing all of the commotion we were making. They took a seat near everyone once they heard what was going on. Diep called out for the battle to begin. Faster than a blink, Kushina landed the first hit on Riku that threw and wedged him against a nearby tree. Dayumm. Everyone felt that attack. Riku was able to land a hit on Kushina, but in the end she won the battle.  Riku ended up having to go to the hospital to bandage up some scratches. It goes to show that shinobi should be serious when facing Kushina. At that moment Mieko was heading to Konoha back from a mission when she came upon our gathering near the forest. She stopped on by to greet everyone as well as inquire what we were doing. Diep explained the competition we were having and asked if she wanted to join in. Since they were no more original pairs to fight, Yui stepped in to battle against Mieko. After a few exchanges and blows, Mieko was the winner to land more hits than her opponent. Those who won cheered, and those who lost looked at their wallets with tears. Diep stepped in to announce the winners and that tonight’s dinner will be paid by the gracious and wealthy Hokage. Thus, everyone should order as much as they wanted! Cheers, whoops, and hollers could be heard as the group headed on over to Ichiraku’s for dinner.

Everyone celebrated with a nice bowl of ramen, but once they got their food most of our shinobi parted their separate ways. Atsuko went to visit Riku to see how he was, but forgot to bring a bowl of ramen with for him. Yoki went back to her place to rest. Yui and Tsuki also went back to their place to hang out a bit longer. Diep, Mieko, Kushina, and Himawari had a nice meal together and decided to treat everyone who passed by Ichiraku’s. After all, the Hokage was paying for the meal so why not spread the joy to everyone in Konoha?

Yoki’s Place:

Yoki arrived home to an empty and lonely room. She found a picture she drew when she was little. The picture had a clear rip down the middle. She started to tear up as she thought of her childhood. The tears streamed down only when flashes of her mother came to mind. “Your name is Rin. I don’t have a daughter named Yoki.” Done with all of these emotions, she decided to head to bed early. In the mist of the night, Yoki was struck with nightmares. She tossed and turned murmuring heart breaking words. All of a sudden, Yoki’s body froze. Using the night as a mask, unknown shinobi infiltrated Yoki’s house and abducted her. The incense they burned  earlier worked well to put Yoki in this frozen state as they whisked her away to their hideout. Just before they left, they set her room on fire to get rid of the evidence.

At that moment, Riku was discharged from the hospital and decided to stalk Yoki. Atsuko wanted to head home to check on her brothers so she walked with Riku in the same direction. Riku noticed a crowd hurrying towards Yoki’s place and a bad gut feeling hit him. He ran with the crowd pushing everyone and saw Yoki’s place set ablaze. The fire was contained and Riku and Atsuko went into the room. There was no sign of Yoki. Relieved but also worried, Riku sent Atsuko to report to Diep about Yoki’s disappearance. Being impatient, Riku decided to go search for Yoki.

Diep was in the office late at night with Mieko sorting through paperwork that started to pile up. Who keeps giving us paperwork? Yui came in shortly after wondering why the office light was still on this late. They were joking around when all of a sudden, Atsuko burst through the door. Breathless, she explained the situation with Yoki and how Riku went to search blindly for her. Worried that this might have a connection with the mysterious shinobi earlier today, Diep sent out Mieko and Yui to gather intel on the group. Diep sent some jōnin shortly after the mishap this afternoon to track down the group and they just reported that they found their location. Mieko and Yui left with STRICT orders to NOT engage in battle with them but to gather information. They were to send a messenger bird back when they gather information and if they need help. Diep had Atsuko follow after Riku worried that he would be rash trying to find his cousin Yoki.

Kushina was back at home cleaning up the house after putting Boruto and Himawari to bed. Minato came in panicked. He tells Kushina that something has occurred that has place the village on alert. The ANBU were being mobilized by Diep. They went next door to ask their neighbors to look after the kids while they went to figure out the situation at hand. Kushina arrived at the Hokage’s office and saw Diep pacing back and forth. She asked Diep what the situation was and if she could help in any way. A messenger bird flew in just as Kushina finished her sentence. It seems that Yui strayed off when she was with Mieko. With a long sigh, Diep had Kushina meet up with Mieko to see if they can assist her. More problems piled up and not enough questions were being answered.

Riku caught up with the shinobi that took Yoki. He fought against them screaming at Yoki to wake up. To no avail did his screaming work. Atsuko heard Riku’s screams and ran towards that general direction. She came to a clearing and found Riku fighting against the two masked shinobi. She threw herself into the battle as well, aiming for the one holding Yoki slung over his shoulder.  The fight progressively got tougher as the two sides fought. Yui wandered around and came upon this scene. The masked shinobi feeling outnumbered, opened a vortex. Everyone was transported to another dimension.

Kushina and members of ANBU arrived to see Mieko provoking the group of mysterious shinobi. Only two members were left to guard the camp while the rest went on to carry out their ultimate goal. Mieko explained that Yui suddenly disappeared and before Kushina could reply, she mischievously goes down and captures the lone shinobis. Another messenger bird was sent to Diep informing that Kushina and the team of ANBU met up with Mieko, but Kushina went on to find out where Yui went. Mieko decided to drag the two shinobi back to the village. After all, it’s easier to just beat out the answers you need rather than waiting around wasting time for them to spill the answers. Mieko kicked the two, now tied up, mysterious shinobi  into the Hokage’s office. Diep had a face-palm moment. Mieko playfully ignores Diep’s scolding by asking to try out for ANBU after this was over. Exasperated, Diep overlooked the matter of Mieko ignoring her orders and asked about the situation now. Diep summoned her white dragon familiar to aid Kushina in her search for Yui while telling the ANBU members to get answers from the tied up shinobis.

Kushina overheard a commotion coming from a clearing. She headed on over to check it out. At this point, Riku, Atsuko, and Yui were already sucked into another dimension. The vortex remained opened and she was debating what to do but before she knew it, she blacked out. She woke up in darkness and saw a younger version of herself in front of her. She started to feel a sense of sadness well up inside of her. Diep’s familiar found Kushina through the dimension and told her he was sent to assist her. He explained that this dimension is actually a genjutsu that feeds on the sad memories of those under it. It alters your sad memories to intensify the pain you feel when you see your memories. It was hard to believe because the memories are vivid and painfully close to the truth, but Kushina was able to break the genjutsu. Diep’s familiar was being called back. He left Kushina with words of advice to be careful until he comes back. She went on to find the others in the strange dimension.

Back at the office Diep was able to piece bits and pieces of the situation together. She called back her familiar to transport Mieko there as well. Before Mieko left, Diep handed her a talisman to help dispel any genjutsu thrown at her. Diep suspects that the castor has placed everyone under a high level genjutsu and needed help breaking it. Her familiar came back and took Mieko to where the others were. Mieko was able to find Kushina and explain that they needed to interfere with the  castor of the genjutsu. They found him beneath a large cherry blossom tree. The flowers were blood red as they fell and the castor had a sinister grin. Both Kushina and Mieko engaged in a battle against the mysterious shinobi.

All the while, Riku, Atsuko, Yui, and Yoki fell further into the genjutsu. They were bombarded with various painful memories of their past. So much that it hindered their ability to decipher reality and illusion. Riku was reminded of his old man who left him “wise words”, but Riku would rather die than hurt his comrades. Atsuko was shown painful heart-wreaking memories of her mother. Yui had a similar experience but with her own family. Yoki’s illusions included her mother, her older sister Rin that passed away, and her father who couldn’t be there for her when she needed him.

Mieko distracted the castor and Kushina landed a hit with her fists on the castor. That small moment was able to break the castor’s concentration and the genjutsu was dispelled. The castor escaped right before the landscape slowly dissolved. Our shinobis were left in a gray world. They saw their comrades  passed out in the distance and ran towards them. All were okay, breathing, and a little beaten up.  Diep’s familiar was able to transport them back safely to Konoha. Kushina and Mieko dropped off everyone at the hospital and headed towards the Hokage’s office to debrief Diep.

The day’s event has passed and Diep was glad everyone was retrieved safely, but what worried her was that the two shinobi that they captured were poisoned before any questions could be asked from them. What does the next episode hold in store for our shinobi? Yoki’s past is a sad one no doubt, but what of our other shinobis and their pasts? How are these mysterious masked shinobi connected to Yoki? Diep has a white dragon familiar? Will we every find out who Riku was making the chocolates for? Stay tuned for our next episode.

Episode 2: The Hokage’s Day Off!?

Today was one of those rare days where Naruto didn’t need to come into the office. He finally had a day off so he was at home fast asleep dreaming about ramen. Alas, his peaceful day didn’t last long. Riku, Rinu, and Yoki knocked on his bedroom window. Half awake, he lets them in.

Riku comes in wondering what Naruto’s going to do for Valentine’s Day, but Naruto pays no mind and falls asleep. Yoki wanted more ramen coupons, but Naruto didn’t have any on him. Disappointed, she decided to find Diep to see if she had any. Boruto and Himawari finally wake up and interrupt Naruto and Riku’s convo. Riku left with Kushina’s clothes for some reason XD

Meanwhile Diep and Yoki were at Naruto’s office, taking the last stash of ramen coupons. Yoki invited her out for lunch. They went on over to Ichiraku where they met Kushina. After their meal, Yoki goes back to Naruto’s house to challenge him and his kids for more free coupons. Kushina went off to shop for groceries, and Diep went back to the office.

Naruto, Yoki, Boruto, and Himawari play hide and seek and it turns for the worse. Naruto finds a mysterious box labeled “For Naruto”. But before he could figure out what it was, Yoki stopped him. He was still curious about the box but Yoki suggested they continue their game of hide and seek. The kids eventually hid in the same closet that the box was in. Naruto was closing in on the kids, so as a distraction Boruto took Himawari’s teddy bear and ran for it. Naruto went after Boruto while Yoki was left to see a scary side of Himawari. Naruto was able to get the teddy bear back but not before he was sucker punched by Himawari. Safe to say, he was knocked out cold.

Shikamaru came back from a mission injured and checked into the hospital. But he snuck away the first chance he got.

Riku was beaten up for stealing Kushina’s clothes and revealed he wanted to do something special for Valentine’s Day. They both learned to make chocolates.

Hinata came back from her mission to find her kids occupied with themselves. Himawari was eating sweet treats in the kitchen while Boruto was playing games. She eventually found Naruto wedged up against a wall. Hinata placed her husband back in his bed and went to question her little ones about their father. They both avoided the question and were saved by Diep and Yoki’s sudden appearance.

Diep came by to pick up a document that Naruto accidentally took with him but since he was down for the count, she decided to get it later. Diep headed on over to Kushina’s place to see what she was up to. Yoki came back and decided to tell Hinata what happened until she was reminded of Himawari’s angry side. She decided to keep quiet. All the while, Yoki pondered how life would be like with a family. It has not been revealed yet, but clues hint at a dark past.

Our episode leaves us wondering what happened to Shikamaru and where he went, who Riku’s special someone is, what’s in this red box for Naruto, and Yoki’s relationship with her family, especially her mother
